PHARMASEA Team Returns to European Researchers Night 2024 with New Initiatives on Pharmaceutical Pollution
On September 27th, the UNIVPM team participated in SHARPER Night 2023, part of the European Researchers Night, held in Ancona, Italy.
This year, at the PHARMASEA booth, attendees engaged in hands-on activities, including an interactive board game titled THE PHARMA’S ADVENTURE.
Through playing THE PHARMA’S ADVENTURE, participants explored the journey of pharmaceutical compounds after their use and their eventual impact on the marine environment. The game highlighted these compounds’ roles as emerging environmental contaminants. Attendees also learned how drugs can become pollutants and discovered best practices to minimize their environmental footprint.
